Best of Luck to Mr. Tate at the Big Bend Open Road Race this Weekend
Local racer and Kinney County Appraisal District Chief Appraiser, Todd Tate, is revving up once again for the Big Bend Open Road Race —one of the most challenging open road races in the world. Tate’s signature metallic purple 1995 Corvette is taking a year off, and he will be racing the West Texas highways this weekend in his truck in the 110mph T3 class. The excitement doesn't slow down for Tate, who placed 2nd in April 2025 in the 120 mph class, following his 1st place finish in the 110 mph category the previous year. Good luck to Mr. Tate as he represents Kinney County with speed, skill, and style!
